Importing and syncing assets into Atomicwork improves data consistency across systems and gives teams better visibility into their assets.
You can import assets in bulk through a self-serve CSV import workflow.
You can sync asset data from Kandji, Azure Resource Manager, and/or Microsoft Intune.
Importing assets through CSV
Use the CSV import workflow to add assets in bulk without contacting support.
Go to Settings > Assets under Organization.
Open the asset import flow.
Choose the asset type that you want to import.
Download the CSV template for that asset type, or upload your own CSV file.
Select the primary key used to identify unique asset records.
Choose the date format used in the file so Atomicwork can validate all date fields correctly.
Review the automatically mapped CSV columns and adjust the mappings where needed.
Atomicwork maps CSV columns to asset fields automatically, so admins usually only need to review and tweak the suggested mappings.
Run validation before starting the import. Atomicwork validates the file before import and shows clear, human-readable errors. You can download an error file for failed rows, correct the issues, and re-import the file. If your workflow allows it, you can proceed while ignoring allowed issues.
Start the import. You receive an email notification when the import completes, so you do not need to keep the page open while the import runs.
Review the import status in Import Logs.
Review import logs
Use Import Logs to track the current import and review past imports. For failed runs, you can download the error file, fix the issues in your CSV, and import the file again.

Navigate to Settings > Assets under Organization, and click on View in the Sync assets card.
Alternatively, you can go to the App Store and click on Settings in the Kandji, Azure Resource Manager, or Microsoft Intune card.Click on Enable against the Sync assets option.
You can choose how Intune, Azure Resource Manager and Kandji asset attributes are mapped to Atomicwork asset attributes. The default attributes like display name, serial number, department, and assigned users are automatically mapped to the corresponding default asset attributes in Atomicwork.
To map additional attributes, click on + Add attribute in the left column.
Select the Microsoft Intune/Kandji/Azure Resource Manager attribute to sync from the left column.
If a similar attribute exists in Atomicwork, it’s automatically selected on the right. You can change this by clicking on the dropdown arrow and choosing a different attribute.
If no matching attribute exists, Atomicwork can intelligently create a new attribute.
Click on Update at the bottom right and you're done!
